JOB PURPOSE
Execute public relations initiatives and manage communication channels to enhance and strengthen the organisation’s public image.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic Communication Execution
- Execute communication strategies that directly address public audiences and relevants stakeholders, ensuring that messaging aligns with the organisation’s objectives.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure that all communications are consistent and reinforce the organisation’s strategic objectives and positive image.
Social Media & Platform
- Oversee and update the organisation’s social media profiles to ensure consistent and engaging content that supports organisational objectives.
- Actively connect with industry professionals and stakeholders on media platforms to foster relationships, promote the organisation’s initiatives, and identify potential collaboration opportunities.
Public Sentiment & Perception Analysis
- Track developments and public sentiment using advanced monitoring tools to identify shifts that could impact the organisation’s operations or reputation.
- Provide actionable insights based on analysis of these trends, guiding the organisation’s strategic communications to mitigate risks and capitalise on opportunities.
PR Crisis Management
- Manage narratives and apply crisis communication protocols to minimise reputational damage to minimise reputational damage and maintain positive public opinion.
- Serve as the primary contact during crises by delivering timely and transparent communication to maintain the organisation’s integrity and trust.
Media Relations
- Develop and maintain relationships with media contacts to ensure the organisation’s narrative is effectively communicated across relevant channels.
- Address media inquiries related issues by providing timely, accurate, and strategically crafted responses that support the organisation’s objectives.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION
- Degree in public relations, journalism, political science, communication or related field.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
- 1-5 years of relevant working experience with exposure in media relations, content development, editorial, digital media, branding and public relations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage communication during high-pressure situations and create compelling content for various platforms.
