JOB PURPOSE

To contribute to the development and implementation of corporate strategic plans in alignment with the organisation's goals and objectives, ensuring that strategic initiatives are effectively communicated, monitored, and evaluated for their impact and effectiveness. 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Strategic Planning Facilitation

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure that corporate strategic plans are developed and implemented in alignment with the organisation's overarching goals and objectives.
  • Facilitate effective communication and engagement with senior management and key stakeholders throughout the strategic planning process, ensuring transparency and buy-in.

 

Performance Measurement and Reporting

  • Compile relevant data and conduct in-depth analysis to measure the performance and effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
  • Prepare clear and concise presentations, reports, and dashboards to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress on strategic initiatives to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the establishment of key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and benchmarks to measure the effectiveness of corporate strategies and initiatives, ensuring continuous monitoring and adjustment as needed.

 

Financial Analysis and Evaluation

  • Utilise financial modeling techniques to evaluate potential mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and other strategic opportunities.
  • Conduct comprehensive due diligence and risk analysis to assess the feasibility and potential risks associated with strategic initiatives, collaborating with relevant departments to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure that financial evaluations are aligned with strategic objectives and resource allocation priorities, supporting informed decision-making, and maximising ROI.

 

Project Management and Resource Allocation

  • Facilitate the preparation and monitoring of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and resource allocation priorities.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, marketing, and other departments to gather data, validate assumptions, and assess the feasibility and impact of strategic initiatives on resource allocation.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams and working groups to support the implementation of strategic initiatives and operational improvements, optimising resource utilisation and enhancing efficiency.

 

Sustainability Development & ESG Governance

  • Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in corporate planning and strategy through continuous learning and professional development.
  • Share industry insights, best practices, and lessons learned with relevant stakeholders to inform decision-making and enhance organisational effectiveness.

 

EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in in Management, Business, Finance, Economics, or any other relevant discipline.

 

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • 5 – 7 years working experience in corporate planning, strategy, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
