JOB PURPOSE & OVERVIEW

Implementation and management of the organisation's risk management framework. This role involves assisting in systematic identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across all business functions. The role includes helping to develop and enforce risk management policies, procedures, and tools to facilitate effective risk identification and response strategies.

 

 

SECTION 4: KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1.

Enterprise Risk Management (ERM)

Integrate Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) into the organisational strategy and business planning processes, establishing frameworks that align with the organisation’s objectives and risk appetite.

 

Ensure that risk management activities are coordinated and integrated across all business units and functions. Promote a holistic approach to risk management, considering both internal and external factors that could impact the organisation.

 

2.

Business Continuity Management (BCM)

Develop comprehensive Business Continuity Management (BCM) plans to ensure the organisation can effectively respond to and recover from emergencies or crises.

 

Ensure alignment of BCM plans with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to mitigate the impact of disruptions. Recommend and implement updates and revisions to BCM plans as necessary to enhance their effectiveness and ensure continuous improvement.

 

3.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation

Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and analyse current and potential risks affecting the organisation.

 

Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to maintain risks at acceptable levels, and support the development of response strategies to address identified risks during crises or adverse events.

 

4.

Policy and Plan Review

Regularly review and evaluate the organisation's risk management policies, procedures, and Business Continuity Management (BCM) plans.

 

Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices to effectively mitigate the impact of emergencies or crises. Recommend updates and revisions as necessary to enhance risk management effectiveness.

 

5.

Reporting and Documentation

Develop and maintain comprehensive risk management reports and documentation, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of risk management activities to senior management and relevant stakeholders. Document risk assessment processes, findings, and mitigation strategies.

 

Maintain records of training sessions, workshops, and risk awareness initiatives. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date, easily accessible, and aligned with organisational standards and regulatory requirements. Facilitate internal and external audits related to risk management processes.

8.

OPERATIONAL BUDGET MANAGEMENT

Strategise and manage departmental/unit operations within allocated approved budget through continuous monitoring of actual expenditure against budget and undertake appropriate control measures to ensure operations are conducted effectively and efficiently to support business goals.

 

9.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT

Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the internal stakeholders and relevant government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players and service providers to keep abreast with latest development to capture new business opportunities.

10.

LEADERSHIP AND CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT (VP & ABOVE)

Drive the development of a competent working team that will enhance and sustain staff capabilities in achieving high performance delivery to ensure internalisation of the right leadership and capabilities in executing their jobs.

 

Foster the development of talents by providing guidance and avenue to potential employees for succession planning and recommend development needs as required to ensure grooming of talents in align to the best interest of the talent and PSMB’s vision and mission.

 

 

 QUALIFICATION & RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

Educational Qualification

  • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, Risk Management or other related disciplines.

Relevant Experience (skills & knowledge)

  • 1–5 years of experiences in enterprise risk management, business continuity management and corporate governance or any related fields.
