JOB PURPOSE:
Provide oversight for the organisation’s property, facilities, safety, and shared services functions to ensure efficient resource utilisation, regulatory compliance, and high-quality service delivery. This role integrates multiple support functions under one department, driving operational excellence, optimising costs, and creating a safe, reliable, and functional workplace that enables the organisation to focus on its core business objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Property & Asset
Management Manage the organisation’s property and asset portfolio by overseeing rental, leasing, and asset-related matters, ensuring proper documentation, compliance with contracts, and maximisation of asset value to safeguard organisational interests and optimise financial returns.
2. Facilities Management
Lead the planning, maintenance, and enhancement of facilities, infrastructure, and office environments by implementing preventive and corrective maintenance programmes, managing vendors, and ensuring operational readiness to provide a safe, functional, and cost-efficient workplace.
3. Occupational Safety & Health (OSH)
Drive the development, implementation, and monitoring of OSH strategies, policies, and compliance frameworks by conducting risk assessments, training programmes, and workplace audits to ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risks, and foster a safe and healthy working environment.
4. Corporate Shared Services
Oversee the delivery of centralised support services, including fleet and driver management, office supplies and apparel procurement, travel and accommodation arrangements, and food and beverage services, by streamlining processes and applying cost-control measures to ensure efficient, reliable, and timely service delivery.
5. Service Excellence & Strategic Reporting
Drive the excellence of service standards, performance metrics, and cost management measures across all functional areas, and provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management to drive operational excellence, resource optimisation, informed decision-making, and alignment with organisational objectives.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Property Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA, RICS, CFM) and/or Occupational Safety & Health (e.g., NEBOSH, NIOSH, OSHA) are highly desirable.
- Postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MBA, Master’s in Facilities/Property Management) will be an added advantage.
Relevant Experience (skills & knowledge)
- Minimum of 12 years’ progressive experience in property management, facilities management, corporate services, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
- Managing property portfolios including leasing, rentals, and asset lifecycle management.
- Overseeing facilities operations, building maintenance, and infrastructure projects.
- Implementing and monitoring OSH/HSE frameworks and compliance programmes.
- Leading corporate shared services such as fleet management, travel desk, F&B, or office administration.
- Proven track record in vendor management, cost optimisation, and contract administration.
- Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and outsourced service providers in a large or complex organisation.
- In-depth knowledge of property law, OSH regulations, facilities management best practices, and corporate services operations.
