JOB PURPOSE

  • To execute tasks related to the development, validation, and finalisation of the Industrial Skills Framework (IndSF) by collaborating with key stakeholders, ensuring the framework’s alignment with organisational objectives and industry standards. To execute the establishment and management of Sectorial Training Committee (STC)which includes carrying out tasks related to nomination, appointment and renewal processes are conducted as per the guidelines approved by the management and ISO. 
  • To execute all necessary tasks related to promotional activities of the IndSF initiative, published IndSF documents and STCs where relevant to ensure the initiative is positively received by relevant stakeholders. 
  • To execute all other assigned tasks that are directly or indirectly involved with strategic branding and positioning of the IndSF initiative at sectorial or national level. 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Market Research & Analysis

  • Research market trends and perform a detailed analysis of emerging sectors by evaluating industry reports and statistics to identify relevant focus areas that align with organisational objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather input on priority sectors and assess the feasibility of including selected sub-sectors in the IndSF, ensuring the focus aligns with strategic goals and industry demands.


Engagement with Stakeholders

  • Plan and facilitate meetings with co-leads to discuss the project scope, timelines, and objectives, ensuring all parties are aligned with expectations and requirements.
  • Draft proposals by consolidating input from internal departments, ensuring that all necessary components (scope, objectives, timelines) are clearly outlined for management approval, which accelerates decision-making and ensures resource allocation.

 

Documentation Preparation & Submission

  • Gather necessary data and contributions from relevant teams to draft the IndSF document, ensuring all sections (objectives, processes, and sector analyses) are clearly detailed and aligned with the framework’s goals.
  • Review and refine the compiled document, ensuring accuracy and completeness before submitting it to the co-leads, which secures approval and advances the project to the next stage.
  • Generate and follow established processes and SOPs related to STC & IndSF documentations under ISO & ABMS audit requirements.


Workshop Participation & Refinement

  • Coordinate logistics for validation workshops by securing venues, organising agendas, and ensuring the participation of relevant stakeholders, enabling a smooth and efficient workshop experience.
  • Carry out the integration of feedback gathered during validation workshops into the IndSF document, making precise revisions to ensure the framework is reflective of industry needs and stakeholder inputs.Compile inputs provided by subject matter experts to align with industry’s needs in terms of skills, competencies and training programs.
  • Integrate recommendations for improvement provided were integrated into the final IndSF document, ensuring that the framework is relevant, forward-looking, captures inputs provided in correct manner and addresses current and future industry needs.
  • Arrange STC meetings in timely manner and attending to matters raised by appointed members addressed with proper solutions or mitigation.

 

Project Monitoring & Reporting

  • Maintain an updated project timeline using project management tools, closely monitoring deadlines and task completion to ensure the framework is delivered within the specified timeline.
  • Deliver detailed progress updates to management and stakeholders through regular reporting, highlighting achievements, potential risks, and steps to mitigate delays, ensuring transparency throughout the project’s lifecycle.

 

QUALIFICATION & RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree or postgraduate study in Management, Business, Finance, Economics or any other relevant discipline.
  • 1-5 years working experience in research environment or related fields.
  • Good communication skills for stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
