JOB PURPOSE & OVERVIEW |
|
Responsible for overseeing the financial and budget reporting function by providing accurate analysis, strategic insights, and performance monitoring to support organisational objectives. The role leads the enhancement of financial processes, drives reporting efficiencies through system optimisation, ensures compliance with SST and relevant regulatory requirements, and supports informed decision-making through effective financial governance. The position also contributes to improving resource utilisation, strengthening financial controls, and fostering continuous improvement within the organisation.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES |
|
|
1. |
Budget Management & Monitoring Oversee the preparation, consolidation, and analysis of monthly budget performance reports by evaluating financial data, monitoring budget utilisation, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making and effective resource allocation.
Develop, review, and enhance budget models and financial analysis frameworks for departments and organisation-wide planning to improve forecasting accuracy, financial visibility, and decision-making effectiveness.

Annual Budget Preparation & Submission Lead the coordination & consolidation of detailed budget submissions from all business units by collaborating with department heads, ensuring comprehensive and accurate budget planning that aligns with organisational objectives.
Scrutinise and review budget submissions for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with organisational goals, identifying and correcting discrepancies to maintain budget integrity and support effective financial management.

3. |
Cost Control Management Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities by analysing financial data, reviewing expenses, and recommending process improvements or cost-cutting measures, thereby enhancing the overall financial efficiency of the organisation.
Monitor cost control measures and provide recommendations to management on improving operational efficiency while maintaining business requirements and service delivery standards.

Financial Forecasting & Variance Analysis Lead financial forecasting activities by analysing historical performance, business trends, and operational requirements to provide forward-looking insights for strategic planning and financial decision-making.
Perform variance analysis by comparing actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying significant deviations, and providing recommendations for corrective action to ensure financial objectives are met.

5. |
SST Registration and Compliance Oversee Sales and Service Tax (SST) compliance activities by ensuring timely registration, documentation preparation, reporting, and adherence to regulatory requirements to minimise compliance risks and maintain financial governance.
Manage and submit SST payments every two months by organising and adhering to payment schedules, ensuring compliance with regulatory deadlines and maintaining the company’s financial standing.

OPERATIONAL BUDGET MANAGEMENT Strategise and manage departmental/unit operations within allocated approved budget through continuous monitoring of actual expenditure against budget and undertake appropriate control measures to ensure operations are conducted effectively and efficiently to support business goals.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT Foster and sustain effective working relationships and rapport with the internal stakeholders and relevant government authorities, business and management institutions, national and key industry players and service providers to keep abreast with latest development to capture new business opportunities.

LEADERSHIP AND CAPABILITY DEVELOPMENT (VP & ABOVE) Drive the development of a competent working team that will enhance and sustain staff capabilities in achieving high performance delivery to ensure internalisation of the right leadership and capabilities in executing their jobs.
